In honor of the late, great Mike Nichols, here are some scenes from “Angels in America”
The death of Oscar-Grammy-Emmy-Tony winning director Mike Nichols has hit people hard because even at 83, he was still doing amazing work.
Married to Diane Sawyer for 26 years, Nichols helmed so many classic films including The Graduate, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Carnal Knowledge, Silkwood, The Birdcage, Working Girl, Postcards From the Edge and Primary Colors, among others.
One of his greatest accomplishments was the HBO adaptations of Angels in America which won Emmys for him and stars Meryl Streep, Al Pacino, Jeffrey Wright and Mary-Louise Parker.
