I’m just damned gleeful about “Glee” Globe
Been busy meeting some deadlines today so have not had the chance to fully get the Golden Globes out of my system. I want to say how damned happy I am that Glee won for outstanding comedy or musical series. It’s one of the only shows on TV that is actually both!
Creator Ryan Murphy is such a creative genius and the show’s cast is just superb. I really thought it was Jane Lynch’s time to shine in the supporting category for her delivery of such an iconic television character as Sue Sylvester. The cast seemed so genuinely thrilled with their win which came a week after they won the People’s Choice Award.
The day before the Globes, I chatted with cast member Kevin McHale at the BAFTA/LA Tea Party and will share the full interview soon. But wanted to at least post the part about the awards season excitement the cast is currently experiencing starting with the People’s Choice evening:
“It was a bit surreal, it was just insane that we were even there. ‘Oh, Nicole Kidman is sitting three rows in front of me and Mariah Carey too,” Kevin said. “It’s just kind of weird being there and then having everybody vote for you and ewe actually got to win an award,. It’s incredible. We’re new, we’re only 13 episodes in and this is all happening.”
