“I Love Lucy” Friday: Ricky thinks he’s going bald so Lucy gives him some crazy homemade treatments!

In this episode from I Love Lucy’s first season, Ricky thinks he’s losing his hair and panics.

Lucy thinks he’s overreacting and concocts a nightly regiment so unpleasant that she hopes he’ll find so distasteful he’ll give up looking for a miracle cure.

This scene in the kitchen has Lucy using the gamut of gadgets on Ricky’s scalp (including a plunger to stimulate his scalp!) and pours oil (“to lubricate your scalp”), vinegar (“to marinate your scalp”) on his head. Then she starts cracking eggs on his head causing Ricky to remark: “Oil? Vinegar? Eggs? Why don’t you add some anchovies and make a Caesar salad!”
