“I Love Lucy” Friday: Lucy soaks up local color in Italy by stomping some grapes – and getting in a fight!

Oh my God, this cracks me up. Lucy, Ricky and the Mertzes are on their tour or Europe and in this episode, are in Italy. Lucy gets a part in an Italian movie and wants to go out and soak up some local color.

She ends up a winery.

I love when Lucy first starts getting the hang of the grape stomping and gets kinda cocky, running around the vat and locking arms with the Italian woman. Then, of course, they get in the big fight and the grapes fly! It is well-known that the woman held Lucy under the grapes for a bit too long at one point but, thankfully, our favorite redhead lived to have more adventures.
