“I Love Lucy” Friday: Lucy meets Bill Holden!

Lucy Ricardo gets a little crazy around movie stars – especially when they’re as dreamy as William Holden.

This first clip is when Lucy, Fred and Ethel go to the Brown Derby and Holden ends up in the booth next to them. Lucy goes to great lengths to catch a look at him. My favorite parts are when he starts staring back and a flustered Lucy winds too much spaghetti on to her fork and Ethel takes out of a little pair of scissors to cut it!

This second clip is when Ricky beings Holden home to meet Lucy and she tries to disguise herself so he won’t recognize her as the ditz who was responsible for him getting pie all over himself at the Brown Derby. My favorite line: “My this California sun certainly makes your skin soft.”
