“Hot In Cleveland” renewed for third season!
Okay, so it doesn’t get the critical acclaim of Modern Family but Hot in Cleveland is a lot of fun and it’s one of the shows that I am sure to catch every week.
I love the chemistry of the show’s ensemble of sitcom vets Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves. They all remain at the top of their game and each get their fair share of laughs each week. Guests stars like Mary Tyler Moore and especially Susan Lucci have been used very well this season.
So it’s great news from TV Land today that the show has been renewed for a third season!
TV Land President Larry W. Jones said in a statement: “The chemistry that this cast has with each other is undeniable so we are excited to bring ‘Hot in Cleveland’ back for another season. Our viewers will be thrilled with all that is in store for next season: amazing storylines, smart and hilarious writing and even more beloved guest stars!”
Miss White, who recently turned 89, won the Screen Actors Guild Award last month for best actress in a comedy series. The entire cast was also nominated in the comedy ensemble category but lost to Modern Family.
Production on 22 new episodes begins this summer.
