“Hit the Floor” star Brent Antonello grateful for fan support of show’s sizzling hot gay love story

As you know, in this week’s episode of the VH1 pro basketball drama Hit the Floor, an NBA star went public with his love for a team executive and kissed him after a game – a kiss that was captured by the arena’s Jumbotron.
Brent Antonello, the actor who plays the sports agent turned team executive, says social media response to this gay love story has been overwhelmingly positive.
‘It’s so cool to see that, once we hooked up, it was Hashtag Zude!’ he says referring to Zero (Adam Senn) and his character of Jude.
‘It’s been really, really great,’ the actor tells NewNowNext. ‘The support from the audience has been incredible.’
While this week’s public kiss is the real bombshell, it was last week’s torrid sex scene inside of a closet between the two characters that really caused a sensation on social media.
Antonello shares some details about how the memorable scene was shot.
‘The call time was 7 in the morning, and we were the first ones up,’ he says. ‘We didn’t shoot a scene prior, so we didn’t have any build up.’
The two actors, who are both straight and good friends off camera, even chose their own music.
‘I remember our director walked up and said “Do you guys have any requests? Do you want us to put on music?” and I remember Adam looking at me and smiling and cracking up. And he says “How about that new Drake album?” So while we’re doing all that, we have a Drake soundtrack playing. Whenever I hear that album now, or a song from that album, I think “Oh, I remember this.”‘
So do the viewers.

Greg and Greg’s readers:
Isn’t anyone watching “American Crime Season Two?” It has a very HONEST and compelling gay storyline with exceptional acting by Connor Jessup, formerly of “Falling Skies.” It’s truly a very wonderful show and it has made me realize that our struggles still go on. I’ve never watched a show or a movie that is as frank and honest about the gay subject matter as this very fine show.

I just recently watched the reruns of Spartacus and the funny thing is that so many people were having ‘Spartacus withdrawal’ mostly over Argon and Nasir’s love story. This helps ease the pain so thanks Greg even tho I don’t get VH1 I’ll find a way to watch it online.
