Happy Birthday to Meredith Baxter!

What a journey Meredith Baxter has been on in recent years.

As she turns 66 today, the actress we know best as Elise on Family Ties and Nancy on Family is in a happy relationship with Nancy Locke after surviving three marriages to men and raising five children.

Her memoir, Untied, is one of the better celebrities autobiographies that’s been done and I highly recommend.

I’ve long been a fan of Meredith’s work with my two favorite movies of hers being The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green in which she plays the totally and hilariously insensitive mother of the title character (it’s on DVD, check it out!) and her Emmy-nominated performance in A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story.

Happy birthday to a great star and fantastic woman.
