Happy Birthday to “EastSiders” star Van Hansis!

EastSiders star Van Hansis turns 33 today and happy birthday to him!

This terrific web series, which also had a run on the Logo channel, is currently shooting its second season and you can be sure I will be posting episodes as soon as they are made available.

Van, of course, is best known for his run as Luke Snyder on the CBS daytime soap opera As the World Turns.

He earned three Daytime Emmy nominations for the role which followed Luke coming to terms with being gay and embarking on romantic relationships with the characters of Noah and later, Reid.

Earlier this year, Van came out publicly as a gay man and was so touched by the outpouring of support that he posted the following message on his Facebook page: “Thank you all for your warm comments and your years of support. It means so much. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
