Happy Birthday to Daniel Craig!

This gorgeous English actor turns 42 years old today and, like fine wine, he just gets better with age.

So let’s celebrate with a little photo gallery of our blue-eyed birthday boy.

It’s a bit like like being a kid in a very tasty candy store trying to decide which hot photos of Daniel Craig to post. One of him in his swimsuit emerging from the ocean – taken on the set of Casino Royale – is a no-brainer. For gay men, that’s like our version of Halle Berry in the Bond film she did with Pierce Brosnan. Or if you go back 30 years, like the iconic Farrah Fawcett poster or – going back to before I was born – like the image of Marilyn Monroe standing over that heating grate, her dress billowing up.

Sexy. Sexy. Sexy.

But besides those stunning blue eyes and killer body, this is one fine actor. He’s the best James Bond there’s ever been (sorry Sean Connery fans) and should have gotten an Oscar nomination for his performance as murderer Perry Smith – a gay role – in Infamous (the other Capote film).

A little-known film he made between Bond flicks was Flashbacks of a Fool, playing a washed-up actor. I think it went straight to DVD. So here’s a tip: in the first 10-15 minutes or so, he’s completely nude! But he’s also absent for chunks of the film because he’s played in flashbacks by a younger actor. Okay, there’s your tip.
