Happy Birthday to Christopher Sieber!
It was really great to see Christopher Sieber guest star on The Good Wife last week and to see him share scenes with Alan Cumming.
It was two openly gay actors playing roles that could be played by anyone – gay or straight.
Christopher, who turns 42 today, came out publicly as a gay man during production of the ABC sitcom It’s All Relative. It was one of my favorite shows for the short time that it aired.
I especially loved it because it had two openly gay actors playing a couple that were two of the main characters (The other was played by John Benjamin Hickey).
Christopher had previously played the father of the Olsen twins in the sitcom Two of a Kind. But his biggest success has been on the Broadway stage, most recently in a Tony nominated performance as Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical.
He made his Broadway debut starring opposite Betty Buckley and F. Murray Abraham in Triumph of Love and went on to star in Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, Thoroughly Modern Millie and a revival of Into the Woods.
Christopher has been in a long-term relationship with actor-turned French chef Kevin Burrows.
