Happy 71st birthday to the glorious Jean Smart who won her fifth Emmy Award last night

Jean Smart accepted the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks at the 74th Emmy Awards for the second year in a row. It was her fifth win in 12 nominations and so well-deserved. Her previous wins came for Samantha Who? and two for Frasier. She deserved to win for 24 and certainly deserved a nomination for her iconic portrayal of Charlene on Designing Women. In seven seasons of that show (Smart was on for the first five), the only actress in the all-star quartet to be Emmy nominated was Delta Burke who never won.
