Happy 69th Birthday to the divine Bette Midler!

It seems there are some gays out there – maybe a large number – who feel betrayed by Bette Midler.

The star who was launched at the Continental Baths in NYC has said some things that have pissed people off but I’ve never felt she’s done anything that would earn her the level of scorn that some heap onto her these days.

Do I wish she had said more eloquent things about gay marriage in the past?

You bet.

But I’ve always liked her for her talent and her embracing her gay fans since way back when.

So as the three-time Emmy winner, Grammy winner, Tony winner and two-time Oscar nominee turns 69 today, I’m going to celebrate her with just a few of my favorite Midler moments.
