Happy 64th birthday to the great Delta Burke!

The one-time Miss Florida who went on to play fictional beauty queen Suzanne Sugarbaker on Designing Women turns 64 today.

Her other signature roles include Noleta Nethercott in the original Sordid Lives movie and Cherry Cherry on Popular.

Delta has had battles with weight and depression over the years but, just like her Broadway character of Truvvy in Steel Magnolias, she has survived. I hope she returns to acting at some point!

She’s one of my all-time faves and I wish her the very best on her birthday and always!
