Happy 60th Birthday to Suze Orman!

I’m a big fan of finance guru Suze Orman and finally got to meet her in January at a party for the Oprah Winfrey Network.

She could not have been more lovely.

It’s great that so many famous folks – both gay and straight – are doing It Gets Better videos to encourage bullied gay teens. But let’s face it, some of these videos pack a more powerful punch than others.

Suze, who turns 60 today, is just the picture of happiness, self-confidence and success and says in her video: “I am proud of my accomplishments. But I am proud that I can stand in my truth and I am not afraid to tell anybody who I am.”

She knows the road it rough for some of these kids but said: “Just stick with us. People are listening to you. People are supporting you. People want you to be who you are…I am proud that I am a lesbian.”
