Happy 55th birthday to Cherry Jones!
With an Emmy Award for her portrayal of US President Allison Taylor on 24 and Tony Awards for Doubt in 2005 and The Heiress in 1995, Cherry Jones is one of the most acclaimed actresses of her time.
She turns 55 today and I hope she is having a wonderful day!
I’ll never forget when Miss Jones won for the Tony Doubt and planted a huge kiss on the lips of her then-girlfriend, actress Sarah Paulson.
Her other Broadway credits include the 2000 revival of A Moon for the Misbegotten, a Tony nominated performance in Our Country’s Good, Angels in America, Imaginary Friends, The Night of the Iguana and Faith Healer.
Cherry’s recent film credits include Mother and Child as well as the Jodie Foster-directed The Beaver in which she played the Vice President.

I was raised in Tennessee and think that Cherry Jones is one of Tennessee’s finest actresses.

Nice little BD card for Cherry Jones, Greg. There’s a rumor going around that a revival of “The Heiress” is coming up – Cherry Jones won a Tony for her performance in the 1995 production. Any news about that?
Wait – you’re Greg ‘Hollywood.’ So Greg do you have any news about what’s up with Cherry Jones’ new TeeVee show, “Awake?” It was supposed to be on this January, but they’ve postponed it.
Greg, since you wrote such a nice birthday tribute to OUT star, icon & hero Cherry Jones, could you give her a jingle on the telephone and find out what she’s up to? She might be in Tennessee for Thanksgiving, you could try phoning her sister.

It’s devastating, and yet if I see they might have suffered, then it’s a little bit of a blessing. I know mine are in a good place. They were good people, but the loss for me, still, is so heartbreaking and I know it is for you too. I would help you if I could.
