Happy 51st Birthday to Melissa Etheridge!

Melissa Etheridge is a cancer survivor, an Oscar winner, a two-time Grammy winner, and today, she turns 51 years old!

Melissa has kept on making music and touring in the past year even as her bitter split with Tammy Lynn Michaels, with whom she has two children, continued to play out  publicly.

They finally reached a settlement last week.

The singer, whose hits include I’m the Only One and Come to My Window, has sold twenty-seven million albums worldwide and almost fourteen million in the United States alone and has been a gay and lesbian activist since her public coming out in January 1993.
