Happy 41st Birthday to Gale Harold!
I wasn’t going to forget that today is Gale Harold’s birthday.
But he should know that he has a number one fan in Spain named Rosa Maria Garcia who, for the second year in a row, emailed me to remind me about the big day!
She describes the former Queer as Folk star as “a funny, polite, intelligent man with a great skill for not taking himself too seriously” and also took the time to update me on what Gale is up to professionally: Gale has been busy working and earlier this year, was a great success playing Val Xavier in Tennessee Williams´ Orpheus Descending at Theater -Theatre in Los Angeles … His movie Falling for Grace with B.D Wong, Margaret Cho, Christine Baranski among others, has release on DVD this year. Here is a music video made from the movie:

Isn’t Gale great? He also has two completed indie movies awaiting release, and “Passenger Side” (in which he has a cameo as a sleazy pornstar) is being shown at Cannes. He recently won a Torchbearer Award from the Orange County LGBT for his pioneering performance as Brian Kinney, and has been helping feed the homeless in L.A.
He’s also been involved in both the southern regional and west coast finals of the Campus Moviefests, in L.A. and Atlanta. He looks devastatingly handsome in the highlights:

It seems like another lifetime ago when I first saw him on QAF. He played a jerk so well it made me wonder if I was watching great acting or if it was simply typecasting.
