Happy 40th birthday to Danny Pintauro!

Our adorable Jonathan Bower from TV’s Who’s the Boss is 40 today!

But how wonderful that Danny Pintauro, who played Judith Light’s son for eight years on the classic sitcom, has re-emerged in recent months as an HIV activist.

It was in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in September that Danny revealed he has been HiV-positive for the past 12 years.

Since then he has been on a mission to talk about the dangers of mixing sex with the use of drugs like meth.

Danny has handled himself with such grace and class throughout a whirlwind period in his life – especially during an interview on The View where co-hosts Candace Cameron and Raven-Symone asked seemed to be trying to shame him.

‘I was kind of worried that it would be a blip and no one would really care and the lady at the grocery store would go: “Oh! That’s Danny Pintauro and he’s got HIV,” Danny told me in October. ‘I did not expect it to be this big. But thanks to The View, they really sort of upped the ante because they got people really mad in a good way. After that, it really exploded.’
