Happy 37th Birthday to Chad Allen!

As we well know, it’s proven to be very hard for a lot of child stars to make the transition to an acting career as an adult. But Chad Allen had the extra burden of being outed by a tabloid when he was when he was just 21.

Well, Chad turns 37 today and he has had a magnificent second act.

After a childhood spent appearing on such shows as Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, Our House and My Two Dads, Chad has had a thriving adult career in television (Donald Strachey Mysteries, General Hospital: Night Shift) in films (Save Me, End of the Spear, Hollywood je ti aime) and on stage (The Little Dog Laughed, Looped).

Chad was among those honored on Friday with the The LGBT Pride Award by the Los Angeles City Council.

The kid has grown up so well!
