Happy 35th Birthday to Jesse Tyler Ferguson!

As one-half of Modern Family’s adorable and hilarious gay couple, Jesse Tyler Ferguson has become a huge star, an Emmy nominee, and one of the most famous gay men in America.

The actor, who I became a huge fan of when he was on the sitcom The Class playing a raging heterosexual, isn’t afraid to speak out for LGBT equality. He recently appeared in a commercial for Fight Back New York a political action committee (PAC) seeking to oust the state senators who voted against marriage equality in the state.

Jesse joked that his true love is Alec Baldwin and that “we can’t get married in New York because a bunch of stupid senators voted last year against my rights and the rights of hundreds of thousands of others who just want to marry the person that I love.”
