Happy 32nd birthday to Ronan Farrow!
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ronan Farrow, who turns 32 today, has accomplished a few things in his young life.
A college graduate at 15 and a graduate of Yale Law School at 21. After law school he joined the Obama administration as Special Adviser for Humanitarian and NGO Affairs in the Office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan. Two years later, he was appointed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as her Special Adviser for Global Youth Issues and Director of the State Department’s Office of Global Youth Issues.
After leaving government, he began a Rhodes Scholarship at Magdalen College, Oxford.
This was all before he became a full-time journalist which has worked out pretty well for him – and for the world at large. His investigative article for The New Yorker detailing allegations of sexual misconduct against film producer Harvey Weinstein won him the Pulitzer and a later article helped bring down CBS CEO Leslie Moonves for sexual misconduct.
Ronan’s recent book Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators is a must-read!
Happy birthday to this most tenacious and dedicated of reporters.
