Happy 25th birthday to Michael Sam!
Wishing a very happy birthday to Michael Sam today!
It’s been a year since he decided to come out publicly as a gay man ahead of the NFL draft and the former University of Missouri has paid dearly for that decision in terms of having a career in the league.
The NFL just couldn’t handle it – could not handle the “distraction” of it all.
Oh, brother.
Despite being cut by the St. Louis Rams and the Dallas Cowboys, Michael remains positive and it is my sincere hope that this courageous guy gets signed to a team next season and his dream of playing in the NFL comes true.
He deserves it!
