Happy 21st Birthday to Chris Colfer!
Since I feel somewhat protective of Chris Colfer for some reason, I do hope he won’t go out and get all crazy drunk on the occasion of his 21st birthday.
But I do hope this mega-talented Glee star does have a great time celebrating this milestone.
And at the age of 21, he has two stupendously successful seasons of Glee under his belt, a Golden Globe Award and Emmy and Screen Actors Guild award nominations.
Since he is only now just 21, it was not that long ago that Chris himself was a high school student and endured some of the type of bullying that his Glee character Kurt Hummel has experienced.
He talked about it this week while guesting in CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight and has a message to all the people: “There’s a diplomatic answer I could give,” he told Morgan, before going the other direction. “Those individuals, it’s almost like you want to say ‘suck it’ to them right there. I should have said that. Like, given names and social security numbers.”
He didn’t do that either, instead opting to say “I hated them all equally.”
Colfer also opened up about his personal feelings from those days: “It’s embarrassing and it’s uncalled for, especially when they don’t know you and you don’t know them…it was heart-wrenching.”
