Guess what? “The Bachelor” is gorgeous!
As if ABC would pick an unattractive lead for its series The Bachelor, right?
The new bachelor is Jake Pavelka, one of the castoffs from one of seasons of The Bachelorette. He’s pretty much a dreamboat. Not sure if anyone will ever top my all-time fave Andy Baldwin but Jake could come pretty darned close.
The selection of Jake was revealed on last night’s Dancing With the Stars. He’s 31-year-old and is a commercial jet pilot from Dallas. For this reason, the show will be subtitled “On the Wings of Love.”
Cute.
“I’ve dated some really amazing girls, but I’ve never been successful at finding that one girl,” he told People. “I saw how the whole thing came together with [Bachelorette] Jillian [Harris]. I saw how the process works and I believe in it. That’s a unique way to meet somebody.”
Yea, it’s a unique way to meet someone but I gotta say, I really don’t believe it works judging from the very few couples who actually stay together once the show finishes taping.
There have been some real horror stories like the last Bachelor picking one girl then ending up with the runner-up because he changed his mind. Then there was the really hunky guy from Texas who didn’t pick anyone!
Still, I guess it makes good television and I always look forward to the hot tub scenes!
