Greg in the Afternoon: Reaching the one-month mark; Keith Olbermann’s GLAAD acceptance speech

It’s been a busy week!

This is the one-month anniversary of Greg In Hollywood, the successor to my Daily News blog Out In Hollywood. I’m having the best time doing it and I hope you are having just as good a time reading it.

Feedback has been terrific but there has been a call for more beefcake! So, Morning Man may have some company each day. Whaddaya think: Afternoon Stud or Lunchtime Snack? Pictured left is Rusty Joiner who will appear over the weekend as a Morning Man or maybe a Lunchtime Snack or something like that.

Here are some of the highlights from the past week that you may have missed:MTV and Logo premiered Pedro, a film about the late Pedro Zamora; Cybil Shepherd’s daughter, actress Clementine Ford, came out publicly as she began a role on a CBS soap; Broadway star Gavin Creel, currently starring in Hairspray, also came out as gay; Outfest, the largest film festival in Southern California, ousted its executive director in a surprise shake-up at the top; I wrote about being dazzled by Valarie Pettiford, Coco Peru and all the guys of Gay Mens Chorus of Los Angeles; It was sexy Christopher Meloni’s 48th birthday on Thursday and I celebrated it by revisiting some of his kisses with OZ co-star Lee Tergesen. A lot of readers liked this;  I interviewed former Will & Grace star Eric McCormack about his new movie Alien Trespass opening today; and a week of hot Morning Men included Robert Buckley,  Taye Diggs, Paul Walker and Matthew McConaughey.

OLBERMANN’S GLAAD SPEECH: In the recaps I posted earlier in the week of the GLAAD Media Awards in New York City,  I had provided you with video of the acceptance speeches of honorees Suze Orman and Tyra Banks. Today, I present you with the speech by deserving GLAAD Award recipient Keith Olbermann:
