Greg In Hollywood meets “All-American Boy” singer Steve Grand at Palm Springs Pride concert

Just wanted to post a few shots from the Steve Grand concert at Palm Springs Pride on Saturday night.

I’ll post more about the festival later today.

We knew Steve, whose All-American Boy video went viral last summer, was performing sometime that evening but weren’t sure exactly when.

We asked various people as we flitted from the festival grounds to bars on Arenas Road and finally to a restaurant called Bongo Johnny’s for dinner.

Finally we made our way over to the giant Marilyn Monroe statue a few blocks away and Steve had already begun his set!

My friend Randol and I dashed in and wormed our way to the front of the crowd and were just savoring every moment along with the very exuberant crowd clearly taken with this young man’s talent – and good looks!

After his set, Steve promised to stick around and meet with us and he kept his word. He was surrounded by a huge mass of people with no clear line to get to him. So Randol, also an experienced journalist, and I again wormed our way to the front within minutes and next thing we knew we were chatting up Steve and getting photos with him.

He had seen some of my coverage of him and could not have been sweeter.
