Greg in Hollywood has less than two weeks to reach the $2,000 mark in 5K fundraiser for LA LGBT Center

Dear readers,

Thanks to the generosity of so many Greg In Hollywood readers and friends, I am now the number one fund raiser of a 90-member team which is raising money for the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This is the first time the Center is joining the LA Big 5K and I’ve committed to helping them achieve their $51,000 goal to honor their 51st year of service to the LGBT community.

You can help keep me in first place and reach my goal of reaching $2,000 by making a small donation today! $10 is great! $20 fantastic! $35 stupendous! The 5K takes place on March 7 so there’s less than two weeks to go to reach the $2,000 milestone. Anything beyond that would be much-welcomed gravy!

For those you you who don’t know, I’ve been a full-time employee of the Center as the writer-editor in the Center’s Marketing and Communications department since June 2017. It is the world’s oldest and largest LGBT organization and welcomes roughly 43,000 visits from youth and adults in need of health care, housing and hope. I’ve gotten to see first-hand the truly amazing work the Center does in so many areas. The stories I write about the Center’s programs and services appear regularly on the LGBT News Now blog.

I’ll make one last plea next week but am hoping some donations from GIH readers begin to trickle in today because, well, I’ve gotta stay in first place!
