Greg in Hollywood celebrates season two of “The Disappointments” with cast, crew and supporters

So happy to have been among those in attendance on Wednesday night for a celebration of the popular, funny and sweet comedic series The Disappointments. The series is about three gay friends in their 60’s who are single, broke and desperately trying to turn their disappointing lives around. It’s full of heart, with its focus on friendship and the embarrassing length people will go to to fix their lives before time literally runs out.

The three men are portrayed by Rich Burns (series creator), Gedde Watanabe and James Matthew Campbell while Trevor LaPaglia plays the adorable, hunky and much-younger estranged love of Burns’ character.

There were nearly 200 people at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Village at Ed Gould Plaza for a party in the courtyard where guests enjoyed pizza and wine before heading into the Renberg Theatre to watch the season’s final three episodes. Guest star Sam Pancake was hilarious in the season finale.

The very handsome and British Peter McManus did a terrific job moderating the post-screening Q&A.
