Jane Lynch is an awfully busy woman these days – especially now that Glee has gone back into production. The cast finished filming the first 12 episodes last summer and will now work on nine more that begin airing in April.

Tonight, Jane guest stars on Fox’s The Cleveland Show as Ms. Eck, a teacher who might not always have her student’s best interests in mind.

I was among those who participated in a telephone interview with Jane on Thursday and wrote an article from it for Fancast.com.

She described Ms. Eck is “hilarious looking” and enjoys voicing animated characters which includes such films as Space Chimps and the upcoming Shrek 4 in which her character is an ogre.

“You don’t have to worry about what you’re wearing, it doesn’t involve your body – it’s all about your voice,” she said of her animation work. “It’s very fast work and it’s also very lonely work, you act with yourself. Seeing your work in something animated, you realize how little you have to do with it. It’s always surprising and exciting to see.”

Even though Ms. Eck is a bit of a schemer, Lynch says she’d be no match for the track suit-wearing Sue Sylvester on Glee.

“Sue would reign supreme,” she said. “Ms. Eck has a chink in her armor, she’s got a little more sensitivity and is prone to self doubt where Sue Sylvester has none of that.”
