GLAAD scolds Alec Baldwin saying he can’t ‘lend his support for equality on paper, while degrading gay people in practice’
Earlier today, I wrote about Alec Baldwin calling a photographer a “cocksucking fag” because the guy was taking photos of his wife and baby.
It’s an unfortunate sequel to the “toxic little queen” outburst from last summer and GLAAD is calling the former 30 Rock star out on it.
“Mr. Baldwin can’t lend his support for equality on paper, while degrading gay people in practice,” GLAAD spokesman Rich Ferraro said in a statement after the actor could be seen and heard on video using the gay slur.
Added Ferraro: ‘It’s clearly time he listens to the calls from so many LGBT people and allies to end this pattern of anti-gay slurs.’
Despite video from TMZ, Baldwin insists that he called the photographer a ‘cocksucking fathead,’ according to EW.com.
Of calling someone a cocksucker he tweeted that he did not know that was considered a slur.
‘I apologize and will retire it from my vocabulary … you learn something new every day.’
Baldwin also tweeted: Anti-gay slurs are wrong. They not only offend, but threaten hard fought tolerance of LGBT rights. I’m grateful to all of the ppl I meet + hear from who recognize that I would never say something to offend my friends in the gay community.’
GLAAD had given Baldwin the benefit of the doubt earlier this year when he event on a Twitter rant and called a tabloid reporter a ‘toxic little queen.’
GLAAD said then that the remark did not reflect Baldwin’s ‘history of actively supporting LGBT equality.’

Paula Deen said the N word 30 years ago and her career is finished. Baldwin says the F word regularly and is still Hollywood’s darling.
jj, I don’t have any desire to emulate the PC activism (not to mention the extortion) of people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. People of African ancestry have given their enemies a powerful weapon to use against them, just by saying a word. The N-word would have no power if they had not counted it as having great power.
I am, in fact, a cocksucking faggot, and I am a good one. Nobody is going to harm me by saying a word, because I am not going to give them and their words any power to harm me. I know who and what I am, and I know my own worth and dignity.
