Post your own #shelfie on Twitter or IG with the hashtag #MagicOfStorytelling and @Disney & @ABCBeInspired will donate a new book to @FirstBookOrg, which gets books into the hands of kids who need them. Comic strip artist @markheartlio has taken that premise and turned it into a very inspiring (and fun) graphic memoir for kids of all ages. * I reached out to him to share a few thoughts on the book: “Short & Skinny is a graphic novel mini-memoir of my life during the summer of ‘77 when I was a shy 7th grader struggling with confidence and body image issues, trying to figure out my place in the world,” Mark said. “Then STAR WARS came out and put me on the path to discovering my storytelling self and realizing ‘big things can come in small packages.’ “ A post shared by Gio Benitez (@giobenitez) on Feb 9, 2019 at 10:46am PST
