George Takei and husband Brad Altman will be first gay couple on the new version of Newlywed Game

Star Trek legend George Takei and his hubby Brad Altman are going to be on The Newlywed Game. The couple got married last fall during those brief pre-Prop.  8 months when gay people could marry each other like the rest of the population.

The NY Daily News reports that Takei and Altman will appear in a special celebrity episode of the Game Show Network program that starts its second season in a revamped format on Oct. 12.

“George and I are thrilled. It’s pretty historic for us,” Altman told the Daily News. “It’s going to be a great experience for both of us to see how well we really know each other after 22 years together.”
