“Gayby” opens in North Hollywood tonight!

Do yourself a favor, don’t wait for the very funny Gayby to come out on DVD when you have the opportunity to see it on with big screen, with an audience, and to meet the hilarious director and very talented stars of the film.

Gayby is writer-director Jonathan Lisecki’s debut feature and it tells the story of Jenn and Matt, a pair of single 30-somethings who set out to have a baby together. The fact that Matt is gay and that both are dating people as they try to conceive complicates things in funny and dramatic ways.

The leads are played by real-life BFFs Jenn Harris and Matthew Wilkas who share a wonderful chemistry and make the whole thing seem all the more real. And Lisecki has a supporting role in the movie as Matt’s unfiltered BFF. He’s a scream.

I’ve been crazy about this movie ever since I saw it at the LA Film Festival last June and enjoyed the Q & A with Lisecki almost as much as the movie itself – this man is very smart and very funny.
