Gay-Straight Alliance: Sweet Tweets and (a photo op) involving hunky rugby stars Gareth Thomas and Nick Youngquest
Gareth Thomas is the first pro rugby superstar to come out publicly and he has gone from being tormented about his sexuality to comfortable and confident. So much so that he and straight but very gay-friendly superstar Nick Youngquest (he’s done some really hot photo shoots for gay mags) have engaged in some fun flirting via Twitter this week. Then today, one of them posted this photo of the two of them, shirtless, in the locker room!

Depending on your definition of rugby superstar, Gareth Thomas is technically NOT the first professional rugby player to come out publicly.
Australian rugby league player Ian Roberts came out in 1995. More recently he was featured in an April 2007 cover article of The Advocate magazine.
