Gay soccer pro Robbie Rogers has not heard from a single fellow player who wants to come out
BBC Newsnight’s Jeremy Paxman spoke to openly gay Robbie Rogers, the ex-Leeds United player who now plays for LA Galaxy, on the difficulties of coming out in professional soccer.
Although not a lot of new ground covered here, it’s a good interview. It is interesting – and kind of sad – that not a single gay player has contacted Robbie. This leads him to believe there is still a lot of fear out there because, let’s face it, he can’t be the only gay dude out on the field.

Robbie is an inspiration, a true hero and a hands-down hottie!
