Gay actor Rupert Everett insults gay parents
Rupert Everett has ticked off his fellow gays once again.
In an interview with Britain’s Sunday Times Magazine, Everett said that his mother has met his boyfriend but “still wishes I had a wife and kids.”
“She thinks children need a father and a mother and I agree with her,” he said. “I can’t think of anything worse than being brought up by two gay dads.”
“Some people might not agree with that. Fine! That’s just my opinion,” he said, adding that he doesn’t consider himself part of the “gay community.”
GLAAD president Herndon Graddick has this to say about it: “Since Everett shared his outdated opinion, gay parents, as well as their friends and families, have voiced overwhelming disappointment. Children aren’t hurt when raised by caring gay parents, but they are when uninformed people in the public eye insult their families.”
Everett has previously said that gay actors should not come out if they want to have longevity in their careers. Thankfully Matt Bomer, Neil Patrick Harris, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Wilson Cruz, Jonathan Groff, TR Knight, Sean Maher and a growing list of other actors are ignoring his outdated advice.

So, what if he can’t think of anything worse than being raised by two parents? Since he doesn’t consider himself to be part of the gay community it would seem that totally ignoring him might be the best course of action. Being considered “nothing” might be very hard on his ego.

This guy has proved over and over again that is nothing but a homophobic specimen. He hates himself and can not stand that gays can be open and –over all- happy with their lives, so OF COURSE he will poison every interview with his homophobic venom. He lived a loveless and hedonistic life, so he just can’t understand what same sex LOVE is, he just think it is all about sex, satisfaction, self centered pleasure as it just was for him. He couldn’t stand getting older and morphed into a bloated beach ball through surgery to try to retain some of his passed glory, because –again- he thinks that you can only be loved because –and just because- or your looks. Gladly his time is over, there is nothing but resentment and old school ideas and myths there.
