Tommy Marx says:
The person that wrote the “Out” article about Jonathan Bailey should really do the bare minimum amount of research before writing anything. He says, “After Page’s sudden exit from the series, the story shifted to focusing on Bailey’s character in season two.” Page was contracted for one season – the season in which his character would be the star – and the second season was always going to star Bailey’s character. That’s the way the show was designed, to mimic the books, which focus on one couple at a time.
And then to say, “It is very likely that Bridgerton season three will have a different lead”? I can tell you season three will definitely have a different lead because, AGAIN, each season (like each book it’s based on) focuses on a different romantic couple.
I don’t know why that irritated me so much – I haven’t read any of the books, and I’ve only watched the first season, so I don’t have any major stake in the thing – but when a writer is so lazy that he doesn’t even know or bother to learn the basic premise of a series that everyone that’s read one mention of “Bridgerton” knows, it bothers me.
I was interested enough to click on the link – I love the fact that young out actors are inspiring others to be who they are – but I wasn’t prepared for unresearched drivel that barely qualifies as a fluff piece.
And now, back to my regularly scheduled life…
