Four-time Emmy winner Jim Parsons gets his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
It was a big day for Jim Parsons who received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Jim, a four-time Emmy winner for his role on The Big Bang Theory, received the 2,545th star and was joined by the sitcom’s cast and creator Chuck Lorre.
“Why I’m specifically here today, the biggest reason, is because I had the chance to play this incredible character that I neither created nor write for nor put into a series,” Parsons said at the event.
In addition to The Big Bang Theory, Parsons has appeared on Broadway in The Normal Heart and Harvey. He returns to Broadway this spring portraying God in the new comedy An Act of God.
Parsons earned an Emmy nod when he reprised his role of gay activist Tommy Boatwright in HBO’s 2014 adaptation of The Normal Heart.

Both my husband and I are avid fans of The Big Bang Theory. We watch it without fail. Probably our favorite show on network television in the past decade. Jim Parsons is great as is the whole cast of the show. Congrats to Mr. Parsons on receiving the Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
