For some reason, CNN’s Anderson Cooper decides to put “90210” alum Ian Ziering on “The Ridiculist”
I enjoy Anderson Cooper’s Ridiculist as much as anybody and particularly like when something makes The Silver Fox dissolve into giggles like a 12-year-old girl.
But with so many ridiculous things going on in our world today – things that really deserve to be made fun of – why did Cooper decide to make fun of Beverly Hills 90210 alum Ian Ziering for making a living?
The original 90210 went off the air 14 years ago and the guy’s got two young daughters and bills to pay. So what if he’s working with the Chippendale’s revue in Las Vegas and starring in a bizarro movie called Sharknado?
“Andrea Zuckerman would not approve,” Anderson said.
Maybe Anderson didn’t intend to be mean. Maybe his judgement was clouded by his fervent desire to use footage from the classic Saturday Night Live Chippendales sketch with Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley.
Anyway, it’s not like TV’s Steve Sanders is out holding up a dry cleaning store like Different Strokes’ Dana Plato did.
Give the guy a break.

Dave says:
I have to agree with Anderson on this one. Yes, Ian has a family to provide for but it is a bit ridiculous what he has decided to do to earn a living. It makes people laugh and thus the reason Anderson brought it up. Why should Ian get a break? You’re in the media outlet and know full well that everyone is fair game – plus Anderson didn’t exactly call Ian out on a being a bad guy or doing anything bag. Lighten up a bit.
