Flashback Friday: When David Fisher came out to everyone on HBO’s “Sex Feet Under”
During the first season of that late, great HBO series, Six Feet Under, David Fisher was still coming to terms with being gay.
Here are scenes when he came out to his mom and his church.
In watching this, I’m struck by just how very good an actor Michael C. Hall is. He was only once nominated for an Emmy for his work in the series and he damned well should have won.
But he did get plenty of well-deserved acclaim for is even better-known role as a serial killer on Showtime’s Dexter.

Michael C Hall was nominated for an Emmy for Six Feet Under
Hall’s work in the first season of Six Feet Under was recognized with a nomination for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series[10] and for an AFI Award nomination for Actor of the Year in 2002. In addition, he shared in the Screen Actors Guild nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series all five years that the show was in production, winning the award in 2003 and 2004.[11]
