First images of James Franco in latest gay role

James Franco has played gay in Milk and in Howl and got his start playing the late James Dean who was bisexual or gay.

And now he’s playing gay again – well, an ex-gay if such a thing could truly exists.

He stars opposite Zachary Quinto in Michael, a movie about former gay activist Michael Glatze.

Glatze went from being the co-founder of Young Gay America to denouncing homosexuality and turning to religion. He married a woman in 2013.

Quinto plays Glatze’s ex=boyfriend in the film.
