The Alabama Supreme Court has incurred the wrath of Sulu.

Star Trek icon George Takei has launched a social media campaign to give the finger to court after it voted this week to halt same-sex marriages in the state. This despite the US Supreme Court declining to issue a stay that would have stopped the marriages from taking place.

Takei posed with husband Brad in a photo that has them flipping their wedding ring finger for the camera.

Explains Takei: ‘Alabama just gave SCOTUS the finger by halting marriage equality there despite federal orders. Couples, let’s respond!
