Ex-boyfriend of Republican anti-immigrant Arizona sheriff Paul Babeu speaks out
Let’s face it, the Republican party – especially this current crop of presidential candidates – are not making the gays of this country feel very loved.
But imagine being an up-and-coming Republican candidate running for Congress who is outed by his ex-lover from Mexico?
That’s what happened to Paul Babeu over the weekend.
Pinal County lawman has stepped down as Mitt Romney’s campaign chair in Arizona and confirmed publicly that he is gay. But he denies that he threatened his ex – known only as Jose – with deportation because he refused to sign a document agreeing to never speak of the relationship.
‘I got a text from him directly on my phone saying that I will next have business, that my family will be contacted,’ Jose told CNN.
The CNN report said that while Babeu has made a name for himself as being fiercely against illegal immigration, he never asked Jose – a Mexican national – his legal status during their three-year relationship.

I live in Arizona, and, the only thing that has me shocked by this is that it took Jose to out this man, since it seems he has been online looking for sex for years, and, oddly enough, he was outed by someone who the ones who give him big bucks hate, amazing, but, that closet door always comes open, thanks Jose for opening this one to show the two faced way people in Arizona are with Hispanics.
And, all that said, I could care less about who he sleeps with, IF he did threaten this man with deportation, that’s an abuse of power, and, he should not be in law enforcement as who knows how many other Jose’s are out there running boo of him and his cronies?

Wow, well, skeletons come out of the closet during election time, doesn’t it? Good for Paul for coming out, either the right or wrong way. I wish him best of luck in his future endeavors.
