Evan Lysacek is perfection to win gold! Johnny Weir doesn’t medal but does himself proud

It was thrilling wasn’t it?
Evan Lysacek came up with the most brilliant performance of his career at the Winter Olympics Thursday in Vancouver to become the first U.S. man to win the Olympic skating gold medal since Brian Boitano in 1988.
“I can’t even put into words right now how I’m feeling,” Lysacek said after he won gold. “This is the greatest night of my life. … To get a personal best in the most important moment of my life — you dream about it,”
Congratulations to a great champion!
Update: I neglected to pay tribute to a wonderful performance from Johnny Weir. I thought it might have won him the bronze but apparently its technical difficulty was not at the level of a few of the other dudes. But he was an absolute joy to watch.
