Elton John blasts Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for its failure to induct Donna Summer this year
You gotta love Elton John for telling it like it is.
He is blasting The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for passing Donna Summer over for induction when she was nominated this year.
‘Her records sound as good today as they ever did,’ he said of Summer who died Thursday at the age of 63. ‘That she has never been inducted into the Rock `n’ Roll Hall of Fame is a total disgrace especially when I see the second-rate talent that has been inducted.’

Donna has been nominated by the Rock Hall for several years now, and they have yet to induct her. It’s wrong on so many levels, and now watch they will induct her next year, after the fact. I have always loved that photo of Elton and Donna that was taken at an Elton John Aids Foundation benefit.
In 1998 I had the honor of being in the 3rd row for a benefit she did for the Gay Mens Health Crisis (GMHC) at Carnegie Hall, an evening that I’ll never forget. Ken
