Ellen DeGeneres features adorable couple at center of Hope Depot flash mob dance proposal on her show

This Utah couple is just about the most adorable pair I’ve ever seen and how lucky we are that the video of their proposal went viral.

Spencer Stout wanted the flash mob proposal he arranged for Dustin Reese at a Home Depot to be filmed as a keepsake for their family and friends.

But the proposal went viral last week and with more than 9 million views, it got them invited onto The Ellen DeGeneres Show today.

‘I was crying,’ DeGeneres told the couple after seeing the video. ‘You can just see that it is just pure love.’

Stout said it took him three months to put together the proposal that included a mob of friends and family doing a choreographed dance to the song, Somebody Loves You by Betty Who.

‘There was a lot that went into that and keeping that away from him was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done,’ Stout told DeGeneres.

Reeser had been taken to the Home Depot store in Salt Lake City under the guise of looking for Tiki torches for his roommate’s birthday party.

When he saw a boom microphone in the lumber section, he thought they had stumbled onto a commercial being filmed. When he realized it was for him, he thought it was a present for his recent collage graduation and began filming it because he wanted Stout to see it later. ‘

I stated filming because Spencer wasn’t there,’ he explained. Then towards the end of the choreography and the music, Stout emerged wearing a suit and carrying a ring.

‘It was the biggest surprise of my life,’ Reeser said. ‘You don’t expect for anything like that to happen.’

Stout paid tribute to DeGeneres for her trailblazing ways being an out celebrity since 1997 and in a high-profile marriage to Portia DeRossi since 2006.

He said DeGeneres is ‘a force for good’ and thanked her for showing ‘this is all about love between two people.’ Responded DeGeneres: ‘Nothing wrong with love. There’s never anything wrong with that.’
