Ellen DeGeneres tweets that she wants to play Ann Romney’s roommate on “Modern Family”
The wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has gotten a little more than she bargained for after mentioning in an interview that her favorite show is ABC’s Modern Family which features the gay couple of Cam and Mitch.
The show’s creator and executive producer Steve Levitan took to Twitter this week to respond to Ann Romney’s taste in TV shows which would seem to fly in the face of her husband’s political stance against gay marriage.
‘We’ll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam’s wedding. As soon as it’s legal,’ Levitan tweeted.
Now Ellen DeGeneres is weighing in.
The talk show host, married to actress Portia de Rossi, took to Twitter to suggest that if Romney were to appear on the show, ‘I’ll play her roommate.’
Ann Romney got strong reviews for her speech about her husband at this week’s Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida where Mitt Romney delivered his acceptance speech last night.

RMG says:
I’m guessing Ann Romney thinks Cam and Mitchell are just good friends and roommates like any good, Christian, simple, wholesome and regular 1952 woman would. Her husband tells her what to believe…maybe, just maybe…
