Ellen DeGeneres, Chaz Bono and Neil Patrick Harris make People Magazine’s 25 Most Intriguing People
People Magazine has put out one of its best year-end issues in years and have at long last returned to the 25 Most Intriguing People of the Year feature.
Ellen DeGeneres is one of the 25 as are Neil Patrick Harris and Chaz Bono.
Ellen wrote a first-person piece for the mag about her year and shared her thoughts on when Adam Lambert paid a visit to her daytime talk show: “He was sitting next to me talking openly about being a gay man. I don’t think we’re used to seeing that on TV. It wasn’t a stereotype, it wasn’t a joke. He was just honest. And he told me if I keep my nail polish in the refrigerator, it will go on smoother. Did you know that?
Neil Patrick Harris tells the mag that even though he squeezed two movies in this year in addition to hosting the Emmys and Tonys and starring in How I Met Your Mother, he’s being careful not to push himself too much: “If you keep running on a treadmill, you’ll get in shape, but you forget the journey.”
He also shares how he unwinds: “I go home to my man [David Burtka] and the dogs. And Scotch. Something peaty and on the rocks.”
Chaz Bono has been famous all of his life as the only child of Cher and the late Sonny Bono.
But when Chaz went public earlier this year about his transition from female to male, he ignited a media storm and has paparazzi recording his every move.
But Chaz sees the upside to all of the attention: “I’ve always appreciated being able to use the media in a way to educate people about issues.”
Chaz is a former spokesperson for GLAAD and the author of two books.
