Elisabeth Hasselbeck comes to defense of former New York Giant David Tyree and his anti-gay marriage stance on “The View”
Let’s just get this out of the way: I think Elizabeth Hasselbeck is an idiot on so many levels.
So mostly, I try to ignore the most annoying co-host in the history of The View who got the gig a few years after her hair started falling out during the second season of Survivor.
But her defense on today’s show of New York Giant and National Organization for Marriage spokesman David Tyree came off as a little too over-the-top: “I know David Tyree. I know his heart. He said he has not hate. He loves everyone. He believes everyone is created by God and should be loved as such. He doesn’t have bigotry. He truly is just a man who is not a part-time guy following God.”
Well, he doesn’t love gays Elisabeth. He not only does not think we should have the right to marry who we love, he also does not feel we should be able to raise children.
I’d call that a full-time bigot.

It’s a shame one can no longer email the hosts themselves anymore. If one could, I’d say the following:
Dear Elisabeth:
Why is it you think it’s understandable for you to confront Kathy Griffin over slice-of-her-life jokes she’s told about you, while stating that it’s reprehensible for gay people to confront David Tyree for his homophobic claim that allowing gay marriage will lead to anarchy?
I Like aspects of you… your willingness to turn a blind eye to homophobia amongst those who share your same conservative values is not one of them.

I too was upset over her defense of Tyree. However, I know that she is not homophobic, just plain wrong when it comes to Mr. Tyree.
